Meet Dr. Natasha Thomas
Natasha J. Thomas, MD is a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatrist educated at Spelman College (2001), Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami (2006) and the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt Psychiatry Residency Training Program (2010). In her career, she has focused on women’s mental health concerns - especially changes in mood, anxiety, and cognition associated with pregnancy, premenstrual disorders and menopause. She has also worked diligently with those who have experienced trauma (due to sexual abuse/assault, military service, medical procedures and dysfunctional childhood homes/parents). She aims to help them see their experiences as holding potential to build strength and character – not to define them as defective, weak or broken. She treats depression, anxiety, ADHD, bipolar-spectrum illnesses and psychotic disorders as well. Dr. Thomas maintains a psychiatric private practice at Fresh Start for the Mind in Suwanee, Georgia and cares for those ages 15 and up. She is one of the most beloved psychiatrists in Metro Atlanta, known for creating a warm, nonjudgmental environment for patients, and infusing hope into all that she does. She is Owner and CEO of Hope Grove Psychiatry, PC.
